In collaboration with France Musique, I have co-designed with architect Antoinette de Montille the set design of the concert “La symphonie imaginaire de Rameau”, by Marc Minkovski director of the Musiciens du Louvre.

Since the opera took place in a sports hall in Semur-en-Auxois. We decided not to mask the identity of the venue and have thus designed two giant basketball hoops in a baroque style. From one to the other the balls travel from earth to sky; a “jardin à la francaise” to Olympus, the city of the gods. In each, we reference the greek myths of the the three extracts chosen by Mark Minkovski for his “symphonie imaginaire”.
