Laura Gonzalez x Elium

My vision for the installation was inspired by the inside, Laura designed one space to look like a therapist's room and another to be a (ceramic) spaghetti dinner of 6, fitting the theme for 2023-2024 ("conversation, reflections, divagation. Through my window display I wanted to introduce the two room concepts. Laura's labradoodle, "Pam," is a big part of her identity and brand, so I used Pam as a mascot to add some humor. Moreover, to grab people's attention, I worked with the Michel Taillis automaton factory to create a special design for the labradoodle. The fabrics for Pam came from Laura's workshop.

On the sides, I made a fake library with papier-mâché books featuring famous authors and philosophers. The shelves were hand-painted to look like the walls of the window. I used fabrics and patterns from the archives for the books. The print on the mannequin came from the Mawu chair inside, and the fabric for the automaton Pam matched the gallery's interior.

Laura Gonzalez contacted me to design the window of her gallery/show room rue de Lille in Paris. I was given the project on the 15th of July for a delivery on the 4th of September. In charge of conception to production, to transportation. I constituted a team of 3 artisans that helped me realised my vision for the window in such a tight deadline.
